Create a new password without special characters and uncheck Enforce password policy.Expand Security -> Logins in the object explorer on the left hand side of the screen.Be sure that you have the server name and database name FTVIEWX64TAGDB correct, and click Connect.Launch SQL Server Management Studio by going to Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 -> SQL Server Management Studio.
Once complete, close the window, and also close the SQL Server
Note: You may receive an error after clicking next on the FTVIEWUSER Account Reset Utility that states:
Reset the FTVIEWUSER account to its default or assign the password the same as SA account.Enter correct password for SA account, then click Next.
Go to Start -> All Programs -> Rockwell Software -> FactoryTalk View -> Tools -> FTVIEWUSER Account Reset utility.Run the FTVIEWUSER Account Reset Utility.
